Ibn al-Nafis wrote of Islamic eschatology in Theologus Autodidactus (circa AD 1270), where he used reason, science, and early Islamic philosophy to explain how he believed al-Qiyamah would unfold, told in the form of a theological fiction novel. كتب ابن النفيس عن الإسخاتولوجيا الإسلامية في كتابه الرسالة الكاملية في الرسالة النبوية (تقريبا 1270م) حيث استعمل المنطق، العلوم الإسلامية والفلسفة الإسلامية ليفسر كيف ستكون القيامة من منظور رواية أدب فلسفي.
